Love Riot: A Teenage Call to Live with Relentless Abandon for Christ by Sara Barratt
5.0
I started reading it alone but as I went through the chapters I began to realize this book is something my teenage boys NEEDED to hear. My boys are 13 and 14. While we read Scripture daily together and have open conversations about sin, the struggles we have and God’s grace, this book, written by a 19-year-old, filled in the gaps where my perspective lacks as a parent.
@sarabarrattauthor has written a book that is really a battle cry to Christian teens to lay down the things of this world and replace it with a passionate and radical love for Christ. She acknowledges the temptations and resistance teens face today and digs into Scripture, pointing out God’s will for our lives and His love and grace as we walk through this sometimes messy journey.
While this book is written for teens by a teen, I could relate to everything she wrote and felt seen and heard as well. This book will ignite a fire of passion and love for Christ and I am moved by the thought of our world being handed to a youth with this kind of fire burning inside them
