Just a few thoughts...

I liked this one way better than Shadow and Bone. I didn't care much about Alina in the first book, but the character development was amazing and I love how she turned out in this installment... True, there were moments I wanted to shake her, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really like Mal, and I totally love his relationship with Alina (drama included).

I love Nikolai since the beginning. He really is a wonderful character.

I don't understand why everybody love The Darkling so much. I mean, he is plain villain. I don't sympathize with him AT ALL. This character is so hyped up that I truly believe I was going to read about someone bad, but that I just couldn't hate. This was not the case. He's just bad.
