The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien
5.0
GOD THIS SERIES KILLS MY EMOTIONS. It's so good! I've been watching the movies since I was around 7, so the whole LOTR world and Middle Earth holds a very special place in my heart. <3 This book was just as wonderful as the first two; it was nice to see how much Frodo, Merry, Pippin, and Sam had grown since they first set out on their quest. I still hold true to the fact that Tolkien is one of the best descriptive authors. His characters, places, and events are so descriptive that you feel you're actually there with the characters. The only quip I have is that some of the language is of the British persuasion, so some of the descriptions went over my head, but other then that, wonderful book. And the last chapter - OMG I was tearing up so bad. Such a bittersweet ending. If you're a fantasy fan, or just love in depth stories that tell of great people, pick up LOTR. This trilogy is breathtaking. 5/5 stars.
