The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager
4.0
While I stand by that Riley Sager is definitely a must-read/buy author for me now, reading his works in reverse order makes the earlier books a little less impressive as he definitely is improving as he goes.
I also read this in the winter and it’s definitely a summer thriller.
That being said, this was a fantastic mystery with a spooky setting. Sager weaves the past and present together beautifully and keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what happened.
I had a few issues with the “whys” in some of the decision making (the return, the camera, Becca in general..) but overall it made sense and I think most of the loose ends were tied up nicely.
