I didn't love this book as much as Practical Magic. It may have something to do with the fact that I was younger when I first read Practical Magic, so I didn't mind reading about teenagers. However, once this book got through the adolescent years, I enjoyed my time with it.

The book is wholly sad. There are very few "bright", "happy" moments. Even though I enjoyed the book, I still found myself left with a feeling of sadness at the end.
