This was a really odd book. It was dark and unsettling but it was not a story that I heard before. There's a young girl who desperately wants to be a swimmer and a friend that she finds on the school swim team. It's all about becoming a woman. Well. Still trying to desperately be an athlete. It's a really odd book, kind of a magical realism thing. Not the best book for this, but it was a weird story I hadn't heard before.
