I was honestly riveted by this story from start to finish, so much so that i read it in one sitting!
Yvenne was a star of this story. I was in awe of her resilience and how strong she was mentally. Where there's a will, there's a way and that's how Yvenne lived since she learned who she ought to be in life.
She was never defeated from her purpose, not even when Maddek was so hostile towards her. She never let anything or anyone deter her from what she needed to do. She might have a frail body but she was the strongest among all and she remained strong through it all. It was beautiful seeing her overcome all of her obstacles in front of her goals but to also win Maddek's heart through it all.
Maddek was a bit of a douche in the beginning but i understood why and slowly he came to see what was right in front of him. I loved how he couldn't help but feel something other than hate towards Yvenne whether it was intrigue or whatnot. What seems an impossible feat ,which was to both of them to marry,  went to being manageable to being impossible to think any other outcome.
Maddek had a lot to learn and Yvenne was a key part in his journey to become Ran. Both he and Yvenne learned a lot through each other and that was also a beautiful thing in their relationship.
I loved all the friendships Yvenne created with Maddek's Dragon and how each individual helped her in some way or the other.
I honestly liked everything about this story and i'm excited to read the next one and to learn more about what Yvenne & Maddex are doing to destroy The Destroyer.
