The Road to Oz by L. Frank Baum

3.0

“Dear me!” exclaimed Dorothy; “is this another fairy-adventure?”

More likely a 3.5 as it’s slightly weaker overall than the previous books.

The Scoodlers were genuinely terrifying, and it continues the trend of me leaving these books with so many questions about the societies and people that they encounter. Unfortunately, the characters Dorothy travels with are a little lacklustre and ill-defined. I could tell you who the shaggy man is, but nobody else.

I still had a jolly old time (get it because Santa appears) and can’t wait for the next one.
