It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

"Sometimes it seems easier to just keep running in the same familiar circles, rather than facing the fear of jumping and possibly not landing on your feet."

Oof... this one was heavy. I simultaneously loved it and hated it. I couldn't put it down but was also afraid to keep going. There was a point in the story where I thought I had made a mistake in choosing to read it...I don't feel that way anymore.

This is a love story, but not the kind you're thinking. Small details are woven beautifully throughout the story to lend greater impact to the main point of the book. I actually immediately read it a second time to fully appreciate all the early hints I didn't realize were hints my first time through.

The characters are incredibly dynamic. The main character, Lily, is...awesome. She had me on her side from page one and is easy to root for and empathize with. Ryle is written so well - for that reason, I am completely conflicted about his character. Atlas is another character so easy to love. Alyssa is the type of friend every person should have.

Worth the hype. Also very quotable
