A very good, easy to understand, foundation on how the financial and economical world works - and how it has evolved from the XVII century until 2012. Also very good in terms of an historical perspective, as it details many major economical events in world history and gives context on why they happened the way they did.
A good read for who wants to have a first contact with the topic of economy.
