The perfect finale to an exceptional series. I absolutely loved how this book so gracefully tied all the loose ends while simultaneously juggling a murder mystery, family drama, emotional tension, and the attempted resurrection of an evil secret organisation. It was interesting to finally get to see the vulnerable side of the seemingly-invincible and beloved himbo Will Darling. I loved how even as the book addressed serious topics like trauma, abuse, corruption, and classism, their weight did not overshadow the subtler aspect of Will and Kim's respective growth. Notwithstanding all the bloodshed and festering trauma, Subtle Blood left me with a profound sense of satisfaction and a sweet aftertaste. 5 perfect stars.
