When I was a teenager, I used to read Megan’s books in Wattpad. When I saw this book for sell I decided to pick it up because I wanted to compare it to the Wattpad version and see how the authors writing had evolved.

I will say, this is one of those guilty pleasure books and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not life changing or thought provoking and that’s okay. I feel like we all need to read books like this sometimes, to help us escape and relax.

Overall, I liked the story, it’s well written and it’s quick paced, there’s always something going on. I like the idea of a dystopian world, I think the plot is interesting but it’s really heavy on the romance between Hayden and Grace. I was expecting some more action but instead got a lot of steamy/romantic scenes between the main characters (at times they felt like to much, like they were just fillers). The ending of the book was somewhat abrupt and felt kind of off, and I feel like the bonus chapter shouldn’t have been put at the end but at the beginning, it would have made more sense. Anyways, with all this being said, I will probably read the second book because I want to know where this story is going.
