I didn't think this would be bad, but I am pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. I have read the first two Michael Vey recently and it reminded me of that, but more adult. I also can see how people compare it to Stranger Things. I liked King's writing in this. It did not ramble nearly as bad as many of his other books. I listened to this via audiobook and the narrator was great.
