A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
So much happened in this book I’m not sure where to start or what to actually mention. I really enjoyed the first book but I had a few problems with it but I’m this one all of those problems were fixed. As the story goes in this one, I think the love feels more genuine the stakes feel real and Feyre feels like a whole character.
In the first book I remember think that the “big bad” didn’t really feel that big because it wasn’t built up properly but in this one not only is the enemy built up well but the characters have things that would hurt to lose. I also had a problem with Tamlin and Feyre in the first book because it felt to bland and original but in this one not only is Feyre allowed to process her feelings but she’s also allowed to develop a real love at her own speed.
The thing I am the happiest about is the fact that the characters are all allowed to acknowledge their trauma and talk about it and have time to heal. Going into this book I was afraid it would be brushed aside but it wasn’t. I really liked this book and I hope the next ones will follow in its footsteps.
