I digitally read this book after having it on my TBR for nearly a year. I loved it so much I ran and bought the paperback from my local Kmart.

Hunger games meets vampires in a slow burn, enemies to lovers, dystopian fantasy.
Even though this is a romantasy, the focus between character relationships was a slow burn and did not take from, or over shadow the plot. The story was well paced. The last few chapters? I did not expect what came! Add in my favourite romance trope!? *swoooooooon*
The character development and word building were well detailed without being repetitive or boring. I was entranced from page 1. Made the silly mistake of starting it just as school for the kids was back on.. I was itching to sit down and read in big segments, it was so exciting I couldn't handle edging myself with 2-3 pages at a time in between activities and responsibilities! This book has some spice, not much but it's still a juicy little treat that rolls perfectly into the plot.
