Fool Hearts by Emmy Sanders
5.0
Wow. If there's one thing Emmy Sanders knows how to do (and there's not - there's millions) it's childhood friends to lovers. I mean wow. This book was beautiful. Wyatt. I love Wyatt so much. He's so strong and loving. He is there for Easton in every way a person can be there for another even though it kills him slowly. He gives so much of himself knowing he won't get the same back. And Easton! Easton is truly his own person. He's resilient and calm and he's content to just be himself. The way their relationship develops makes sense. I was so worried it'd seem sudden or random, but no. It's perfect. Oh and Will! Will is the coolest kid. He's passionate and he loves his dads so deeply. Oh and Wyatt's bff Sadie is amazing. I love her. And Becca! She's perfect. She's caring, gentle, kind, understanding... she's great for Easton, even when I wanted him with Wyatt.
The thing is, I don't have words. This book was just beautiful. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me swoon. I will be reading this over and over again.
Notes: 2/5 spice levels, friends to lovers, childhood best friends, single dad,, demi rep (unconfirmed), slow burn, time jumps, sexual awakening, small town, homophobic family, homophobia
