The School Run: Suspenseful, surprising and cinematic, from the internationally bestselling author of The Trivia Night by Ali Lowe
4.0
**3 & half Stars**
The School Run is another deliciously entertaining domestic thriller from bestselling author Ali Lowe.
Set in the super competitive boys private school environment of one Australia’s wealthiest suburbs, mothers are willing to do anything to ensure their sons are in the best possible position. The boys are put through exhaustive mental and physical tests to be accepted into the prestigious St Ignatius Boys' School. When a student is hit with a car and left for dead, secrets, and lies of this privileged community are exposed.
Like in her previous book The Running Club, Ali writes such fantastic devious characters who are not very likable but it’s so fun to watch the fireworks with their interactions. What these women will do for their boys blew my mind! Makes me so glad I don’t have to deal with this sort toxic environment in real life.
A massive thank you to @tandem, @hachette & @alilow as I was gifted this book as part of the #theschoolrunreadalong. Life got in the way of my reading on this one so I was I got behind in the readalong but I did enjoy seeing all my fellow readers reviews & thoughts on this one once I finished.
