Bought this a couple of weeks ago because MCD sent me a copy of Dead Astronauts and gosh I loved this book! This is the second book I have read by VanderMeer and I'm always left astonished by how fleshed out his characters and worlds are. Rachel was such an interesting character and her relationship with Wick and Borne (and the tension between those two) both kept me drawn in up until the end, when I realised I was emotionally invested in all of them.
