An interesting twist on an old tale with all of this authors talent for fun reading makes for a superb story!
I don't even know where to start with this review.....as a lover of the tale of Robin Hood, how could I not be drawn into this world that K.C. Kingmaker has written for us?
It took me a while to get hooked into the story but the moment Robin met the Merry Men gang, that’s where things started to get more interesting. I enjoy reading the time where Robin got a taste of adventure and freedom she longed for, exploring the unknown and found a family that will support and love her for who she is.
There were twists, betrayals, mystery, adventure and of course romance, and then a shocking twist at the end that makes you want the next book now!
Daughter of Sherwood is a page turner. K.C. was able to hold onto the legends while creating a new story-line around them. Fans of English history, of the folklore of Robin Hood, or those who simply enjoy a good read will all find something in Daughter of Sherwood which I recommend without hesitation.
K.C. has captured my imagination with her story weaving and I am greatly looking forward to seeing what is in store for the rest of the series.
