I struggled with this one a bit, and felt (and still feel) I should have liked it more. The first third was fantastic, it set the story up well, and I loved the character of Cora, but the rest didn't live up to the start somehow. Having said that, the writing itself is beautiful. The words surrounded and embraced me as I listened to the audiobook, and I would try another of Sarah Perry's books, just to hear the wonderful way in which she puts sentences together.
