The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
4.0
I might be a bit biased over here cause I'm a sucker for anything witchy.
That being said, this really was a cute, fun read. I loved the characters so much and loved seeing Mika's relationships develop with everyone at Nowhere House, especially the girls; it was so wholesome. It wasn't too heavy on the romance as I expected though, it sometimes felt either too slow or too rushed. But I loved Jamie and wished we got to go more in depth in their romantic relationship. Also the magic system was really cool!
At times it felt like the book wasn't going in any particular direction, idk how to explain it really, it's like it was just fluffy, wholesome days in the lives of the characters. The ending felt really rushed and a bit messy.
Overall I really, really loved this book, but I just wish some things were better elaborated and took their time instead of being brushed by quickly.
