the premise is book is good. even though there are good things here i am confused. the world is never explained. yes we get a bit but bec the characters already know things i don’t it’s never explained. i was intrigued enough to want to read more for answers but i don’t think they are coming.

the character building was two dimensional. everyone had a characteristic or two that defined them and that’s it. it made the romance kinda strange bec on one hand yes i do think y’all are in love but i don’t know you? like i wasn’t invested.

vali… i’m sorry but still being in love with someone you last knew at eleven???? i find that so hard to believe. ppl grow so much in that time so i was rolling my eyes when they were talking about how they belonged to each other.

gale being a teacher didn’t bother me much but there is another person that’s going to join the harem that a lot younger. that bothers me tbh.everyone else is twenty five and gale is like thirty one or two which imo. there is kinda of a power imbalance but not so much to make icky. idk all i can say it worked here even though i usually hate teacher student stuff.

the name gaylord…. uhm what a chose… i literally had to google if it was a real name.
