The Offer by D.L. Wood
4.5
Read via Kindle e-Book.
I read this book the same day as book one. Both are really edge-of-your-seat suspense!
I liked the main character, Addie, even though I wanted to scream at her for going to the island AND then staying! Sam was also very likeable even though he wasn’t a major character in the story.
This book had major creep factor as well as twists & turns that kept coming. In the end I felt the entirety of the reveal as ‘too much.’ It became rather over-the-top. But it’s fiction so you roll with it. Her recovery after what happened was too fast to be believable. Really speaking, most anyone would be a complete mess after all of that. Major PTSD. AGAIN, it is fiction….
This wasn’t quite a five-star read like the first book but a very strong 4.5. I will definitely be reading more of this author’s books.
