I used to visit my grandparents every summer, and they lived in a sleepy lake town. I always visited the 4 or so used bookshops and looked for the most interesting fantasy covers I could find, and this was one of my discoveries there. I loved the whole epic story, and I reread it regularly, though I haven't read it in years now.
