How to Write Like Tolstoy: A Journey into the Minds of Our Greatest Writers by Richard Cohen

5.0

An amazing book! It follows such topics of writing, like exposition and ending, point of view, dialogue, style, sex, plot, plagiarism, and editing a manuscript. The book is full of anecdotes from the lives of writers and editors, as well as giving a lot of examples from published and known novels of what works and what doesn’t work for the reader.
Besides a desire to write, it also gives a great desire to reread the classics with a new eye.
