Oh my god! Just heal for now my heart, you've been through so much and I'm not sorry for it.

This was my first book by Zafon which was waiting on my shelf for two years now with his other bestseller "The Shadow of The Wind" that I will be reading next that's for sure. I just don't know why it took me this long to read this author for I loved this book so much.

Now, about this book, it is a really good gothic book à la Frankenstein with a bit of The Phantom of the Opera kind of vibes which could be a scenario written by Guillermo del Toro. Also, this book don't belong to one genre but multiple ones like: Mystery, Thriller, Romance, Sci-fi, Horror...etc.

I loved the amazing and brilliant plot, the mysterious characters, the dark atmosphere which kept me mesmerized by the story till the end with the description of the late 70s Barcelona streets and their old hunted buildings. all in all, this book was everything I hoped it would be and it made me feel so many different emotions, I felt like was on a roller coaster in a positive way while reading it.

I'm going to listen to the audiobook in French that I found on Netgalley published by Audiolib. I'm so excited to have to experiment the same experience but in a different language.
