Star Wars, Vol. 3: Rebel Jail by Jason Aaron

adventurous dark informative mysterious tense fast-paced

The annual included at the beginning kinda spoiled the big reveal of the prison, but it was alright. This wasn’t my fave volume so far. It was funny in moments (the nerf herder hint was really good), but it was a bit convoluted.

Also didn’t love the art this time around. The emphasis on Leila’s clothes… you can tell it’s drawn by men and I don’t love it. And the Kenobi excerpt at the end put me off. Really didn’t like the art for that one.

I know I keep saying it, but Disney retconning their own stuff makes me mad. The Kenobi excerpt was once again a different storyline than what the Kenobi show let us to believe, so I’m going to ignore it.

The callbacks were good tho. “Nerf herd”, “I am what you made me”; tidbits that made me smile.
