Pageboy by Elliot Page

emotional reflective fast-paced

4.0

As a transman myself, parts of Elliot's book really resonated with me. His feelings of not being present in his body and his constant anxiety pre-realisation of “what’s not right?”. The negative experiences his has from within, and the reactions of people around him for being in any way queer.

His book gives another lens to the gay/trans experience that is easy to follow. It really shows how we don’t really know what’s going on with someone - even though he is in the public eye.

Book #1 for 2024
