The Book of Murder by Guillermo Martínez

2.0

Eh. Martínez seems to confuse opacity for profundity, and while this is far from being the most misogynist book I've ever read, there's still an unsettling undercurrent here to do with gender and power dynamics. While it's not a particularly long novel, I think The Book of Murder could well have been edited down into a short story without losing anything.
