The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost

3.0

3.5 Stars

The main character Will West was basically good fellow, and since characters who respect their parents and aren't ridiculously reckless gain points in my esteem, and because who doesn't enjoy a good blend of magic, techology, and dream school grounds, I'd say this book was fairly good. However, I really could have done with less cursing. And less of the not fully trusting adults, who actually are trust-worthy, but fully trusting kids who have just as little reason to be trusted. Also, this book ended with few answers and many unanswered questions - clearly meant to be a first in a series, but with this many cliffhangers not sure I want to go on.

I'd recommend for someone looking for a fast paced, emotionally tuned, but not tear-your-heart-out, action/sci-fi/fantasy teen school read. But only if you don't mind perpetual, unnecessary cursing.
