*Really Minor Spoilers That You Like Find Out About In The First Few Chapters*

Reread the book before I went to see the midnight premiere and once again I loved it. I liked the concept of the book because people do like watching reality shows and it's interesting to see what would happen if we were forced to have this reality survival show where only one is allowed to win/live. I was never bored during this book.

Katniss was one of the best heroines I've ever read about. Who wouldn't want to be Katniss? She's strong, brave, smart, resourceful, and beautiful. Plus she has two guys in love with her (although if I was Katniss I would have went for Finnick *wink, wink* but that's getting ahead of myself seeming he doesn't show up till book 2). She was willing to sacrifice herself in order to save her younger sister who she cares about so much. Even in the games Katniss is caring. She teams up with Rue who reminds her of Prim, her sister, and grows really close to her in a short period of time. Plus, Katniss didn't just go around killing people. The only time she killed someone was when her life or someone she cared about's life was in trouble. It was killed or be killed.

Peeta and Gale are great too. Katniss doesn't like them both just cause they have a pretty face (although they both do). Gale has been her best friend and hunting partner for years. They know everything about each other. She knows he's resourceful, strong, and caring. He takes care of his family (his mother, brothers, and I know I already forgot but I believe he has a sister?). When Katniss goes of to the games she knows she can count on him to help out her family and keep an eye on them. Then you have Peeta. Peeta is sweet, kind, caring, and strong. Katniss hadn't gotten to know him before the games but she had seen a side of him she liked when he helped her in her time of need by purposely burning bread and giving it to her when her and her family were starving. Throughout the book you see how loveable Peeta is. The capitol people just eat him up. Everything that comes out of his mouth just sounds great. He's a good guy. I guess you'd describe him as the boy next door, the guy you'd take home to meet the parents. And in the arena he proves to know what he's doing. Teaming up with the Careers, hiding himself when he's wounded. He's smart and has some tricks up his sleeve.

This is one of my favorite series. It makes you laugh and cry. If you want a great read, read The Hunger Games. Also the movie was really good. Probably one of the closest adaptions of a book series I've ever seen. I didn't want it to end. I wanted it to be longer than the 2 hours 20 something minutes it was. The sets, the cast, the costumes...everything was amazing. I'd definitely suggest checking out the movie also.
