Dracula by Bram Stoker
4.5
Third time reading:
My thoughts remain more or less the same as my previous review. I adore this story and it is perfect for the spooky season when the nights are long! Definitely one of my fav classics.
Second time reading:
I'll keep my rating at a four. I think this is a delightful gothic horror story, with all it entails. I love the subtlety there is to it, when we switch from Jonathan Harker's perspective to Lucy and Mina. You get that thrilling moment of realization when the perspectives start catching up to each other. There are definitely some issues with this, specifically regarding repetition, and there's a lot to say about the way gender is portrayed in this. Still, I find this a wonderful book to read during the darker months of fall! A classic that's worth reading, if only to know how the actual story goes.
