nona changed my life the amount of times i cried through this book at just normal scenes because she is filled with and surrounded by such love and it permeates every single interaction she has with the world at all times shes friends with the kids in a gang and gives them her board-wiping rag so they can sell it as drugs because she loves them she puts six shoes on the slightly creepy dog because she loves it and she loves its owner she swims with jellyfish even though they sting her because she loves them and she loves the ocean and in return the universe gives her a family of those who cant help but love her because she is love
