Death at La Fenice by Donna Leon
4.0
This is the book that got me hooked on this very entertaining series.
What I like:
A)The way domestic life and the fruits of the table are interwoven into the stories of the crimes Commissario Brunetti works toward solving in and around the city of Venice
B)When we get to hear what the detective is reading and his reflections and conversations about this reading
C)The Detective's internal dialogue during his conversations with his superior
What feels a little tired to me: the detective's reluctance to use his mobile phone, a computer
What is irresistible: the different sorts of characters and parts of the city that play a role in the mysteries.
