The Woods Are Always Watching by Stephanie Perkins
Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
I picked this up because the last horror book I read by Perkins was a page turner and easy to booktalk to teens. Before reading this one I made the choice to flip near the end of the book and spoil myself a bit to see if it would work for our middle school booktalks or if it read a little too mature for them. I'm glad I did because there's a brief but noticeable mention of rape and necrophilia which are things I would need to give a content warning for and the second is NOT something I'd want to explain on a school visit.
Probably one I'd only recommend to high school readers and up, though for an individual reader their mileage may vary.

Moderate: Kidnapping
Minor: Rape
