I liked this book. It was fine. I’m glad I got it from the library and paid IT WAS FREE dollars for it. I’m interested in the next two books in the series but my library doesn’t have them sooo....

I guess that sums it up well enough. Liked it enough to read the next, but not enough to pay money for them.

The characters made me laugh. I could envision this being a fun tv show. Something about the writing didn’t quite work for me. The way the characters thought about each other just threw me. I think it was mostly Charlie that didn’t work for me. She was very judgmental of Max the whole way through. He was “Mr. Cynical”, but she was the one reading into situations and being completely off base and making assumptions about him from minute one. Not that he was a paragon of virtue, but his character felt like it made sense and I understood him.
