I thought this was going to be a cute, fun romance about a girl whose boyfriend becomes a rockstar but instead I just got annoying characters being annoying. And I kept reading hoping it’d get better but it just got worse.
Sterling had nothing going on for her outside of Ethan. When she did come up with something he thought it was stupid and then she took forever to revisit the idea again. She was also being kind of a bad friend, her friend tried so many times to talk to her and she would just be like I don’t get why she’s mad at me. Also her grammar and spell checking was top tier annoying.
And Ethan, he started out kind of sweet but I quickly knew he was going to get a big head with this superstardom. I mean he’s in a band but he makes his first album solo…I was like okay kind of shady but then he wanted to make the next one with the band and take them on tour so I was like alright maybe there’s some hope for him. But no, he doesn’t get why the other guys would be mad riding his coattails…idk maybe because you guys were a band and now they just want the band to be your name. The one guy had a point, no one would probably notice if they were replaced because it wasn’t about the band, they were just a part of the Ethan Cross experience. And I seriously doubt he ever called his friends that kept asking Sterling how he was doing. Ethan Cross honestly was the worse.
The only thing I liked about this book was Sterling’s relationship with her Gram.
