I am such a fan of Cussler and his character Dirk Pitt that I don't mind wading through the details of the latest threat to civilization and the glories of Dirk. His stories are always preposterous and fun. Flood Tide is particularly ridiculous, with its premise of world domination by China via illegal immigration.
