Disclaimer: if you like accidental/surprise baby and drama then this might be for you. With that said, read this first and then decide if you want to give it a go. I also read an arc of this book.
I would rate the duet a 4 stars even though I think it shouldn't have been one. I did pick this book right away because I was curious how Noah would react to the cliffhanger in part 1 and how everything would happen.
I didn't like Noah for almost half of this story. Why? Because he came across as a manchild imo, there were just some situations that he was "unacceptable" especially at this point in the story but after that first half I think he redeemed himself for the most part even though I think he didn't grovel enough or in this case Madison forgave him right away but we'll get to that later.

While I was frustrated with Noah at various points in the story, I enjoyed myself reading it but there were some things that weren't ok for me.

Spoiler section:

I'm not sure if I glossed over this or if it simply wasn't explicit enough in the story but i think the 'when' Noah became infertile should have been emphasized because for the most part of the story I was convinced he was just dumb because he had Chris so why not another and that whole thing only came clear to me almost at the end and maybe that was the intent all along but all that did was make me think of Noah as unreasonable and a self centered man.
Also Noah kicked Madison out because she "cheated" on him and she claimed the child was his and she only did that, not because she was telling the truth because how could she? No no, Noah thought she got pregnant from another man and she claimed it was his baby because he was a billionaire and she wanted his money. πŸ™„ The math just ain't mathing. Wanna know why? Because she never got anything from him, not when they were on good terms/ relationship and not after this separation. Zero. Nilch. Nada. So why he thought she was scamming him is beyond me.
What makes this even worse was the fact that 2 months passed by without him reaching out to her, not once. And he only went after her because he got his new results from the clinic that said he could have children after all. Not because he knew what type of person Madison was which btw was kind of clear that she never wanted something from him to begin with. So the whole thing was very much unnecessary if you ask me. 🀷

I actually loved when he came to Madison to apologize and she didn't give in right away and told him off basically however everything that happened afterwards was all at once and Madison just let it go as if what he did was nothing of importance which I guess compared to what happened, she's right but it wasn't enough for me. He literally abandoned her so she may forget about it but I'm not.
He didn't grovel which he should've and I think that's my biggest issue here. Even if i didn't like him for half of this book, if he groveled I would've enjoy it more and I wouldn't still be salty about it. πŸ˜…

I'm very interested in Killian and who he really is. He seems like a really nice guy so I hope there's a story about him. I will read another book by this author but this duet just wasn't for me.
