Sensible Footwear: A Girl's Guide by Kate Charlesworth
informative
3.0
Sensible Footwear is a graphic novel that combines a memoir of Kate Charlesworth with a look at LGBTQAI+ history through her life (1950-present). The layout is difficult to follow, and some pages just had so much information on that you couldn't understand what was going on. The personal parts have long gaps in time, and a lot of characters who are all white people with short hair, so it's impossible to remember who they all are. There's some really interesting bits of British history that I didn't know about, though, and I'm glad I read it.
Moderate: Biphobia, Cancer, Homophobia, Sexism, Terminal illness, Transphobia, and Lesbophobia
