Quirky and unsettling
Definitely a mindbender a la Twilight Zone or Black Mirror. Although, its presentation is subtle and indirect rather than explicit and laid out for the reader. I’d like to re-read this at some point in paperback. I guess there’s something behind the author’s use of punctuation that is lost in an audiobook.
