I need some time to sit with this one. It was a slow burn with a great payoff, and utterly horrific.

There were many moments where I wanted to DNF this, but now I’m just stunned with it. This book has a lot to unpack and if you can slog through some of the “why is this taking so long for something to happen,” it’s incredibly rewarding. And that feels like the weirdest thing to say.

It is a powerful book.
