Meet Me on Love Lane, Volume 2 by Nina Bocci

3.0

I won this book as a FirstRead.

Out of a job for something that wasn't her fault and blacklisted in the floral industry in New York City, Charlotte Bishop decides to go back to her hometown of Hope Lake, Pennsylvania for the summer while she figures out what comes next. She hasn't been back since her parents divorced when she was 10, and she expects to find a rundown town with little to offer. To her surprise, however, Hope Lake is thriving. Charlotte plans to stay only as long as it takes to save up some money and let things blow over in NYC. However, being back at Hope Lake is giving her the chance to reconnect with her dad, grandma, and childhood friends. She also gets a dream job running a new flower shop in town, and the town is filled with attractive single guys.

This book is the second in a series set in Hope Lake but is easily read as a standalone. This book has all the things you would expect of a romance series set in a small town, strong friendships, over the top moments, drool worthy men, and so on. To me, there is nothing that will set this book apart from others in the genre, though. A strong 3.5 stars for me.
