A delightful little romp. Pretty solidly researched (although it's not true Vesterheim wouldn't be able to easily reassociate an artifact missing its ID# - they have an old card catalog system with photos organized by object type so it really only takes ~5 minutes to reassociate clearly defined object types with their original documentation - maybe 30+ minutes if it's not a clearly defined object type - as long as it was accessioned idk c. pre-2000s). I appreciated not needing to have read the previous three books to enjoy this one. Definitely nailed the attitudes of rosemalers and all the local hot spots lol. Honestly better than anticipated and it's always fun when you know half the people listed in the acknowledgements section of a book. 😍 I'm a little disturbed I think I've handled the trunk the dead body was found in tho (we got to use the handles though) 😂
