The Six by Anni Taylor

This book ...wow. It’s a psychological thriller with elements of horror and it’s really good.

The people brought to the island all have addictions or struggles that they hope to get treated. The financial bonus for winning the puzzling team challenges isn’t bad, either. But there’s more to these walls than a benevolent ministry and the monks have more than good will under their robes.

The chapter POVs alternate between Evie, gambling addict who turns herself in to the program and begins to uncover, along with her fellow participants, just what kind of terrors they’ve gotten themselves into—and her husband Gray as he cares for their 2 daughters and struggles with the police as he tries to find her. And then there’s “I, inside the walls” who further compounds the mystery and lends a creepy air over all.

Go read it!
