On Talking Terms with Dogs: Calming Signals by Turid Rugaas
5.0
I was introduced to this author and book by my all-time favorite horsewoman, Anna Blake, who also uses recognition and sharing of "calming signals" when working with horses.
It's a brief book, approx 70 pages, with many photographs to help readers understand what she describes, yet conveys so much important information few others are talking about.
If you know me, you know that I very rarely rate a book a 5. In the last 4 years tracking my books on Goodreads, I've read 1056 books, and only rated 34 of them a 5 of 5. This is one.
If you have a dog, come in contact with dogs, love dogs, are afraid of dogs, want to develop a better relationship with dogs, you should read this book.
