i am…perplexed…as to how this book is rated so highly. i certainly understand it’s appeal - who wouldn’t want to read a book narrated by a dog? but the narration is not even remotely believable as a dog. it’s weird and disgusting. the author’s misogynistic and patriarchal views hit you in the fuckin face. it’s homophobic on top of it all. and the privileged ideals of “you can overcome anything if you just manifest what you want.” i read the first 100 pages and skipped around to the end. wouldn’t bother with this one.
