Read for the Bad Bitch Book Club's Haus of Bad Bitches subgroup.
Growing up I never read graphic novels. After reading Heartstopper Vol. 1, I've found that I love them! This one was such a good addition to the list of graphic novels I've read. I truly devoured this book and read it all at once. I couldn't stop reading and admiring the illustrations. The illustrations in this book are mind-blowingly good. I love how vibrant and detailed they are.
I've never related to something more than, "I only let myself listen to the tape once through per day afraid that I would wear it out."
I absolutely loved the conversation between Maia and Jaina and I think it's truly a great explanation of the discomfort one can feel when the incorrect pronoun is used to describe that person. I had also never heard of the e, em, eir pronouns so this was a great learning experience for me!
A very small note but in the comic about shopping, it made me LOL that the Ross store was renamed Boss: Dress for a Quest.
