Apparently I did not review this book when I finished it last week…. I guess I will try to summarize what I was thinking. I listened to a lot of it while driving so my commentary is limited.

I loved the entire thing. I absolutely love MurderBot and their personality and their humor. I loved how what happened in the various novellas has now all come together in this full length book. And I love the new players involved as well.

Commentary:

- 1% I’m only 5 minutes into this and I’ve already got a stupid grin on my face as I resist laughing out loud because I absolutely love MurderBot’s mind/commentary
- Like honestly every single line of their mental commentary I want to highlight because they are hilarious
- 7 minutes in. A laugh broke free. Normally I have problems with books being too sad to listen to at work (it’s not exactly discreet to sob over fictional characters at your desk). It’s rare but wonderful when a book is so funny that i almost can’t listen at work.
- The fact that they choked someone until they were unconscious and then “broke her arm to give her something else to worry about in case she revived too soon” shouldn’t be funny but how the line is delivered in the audiobook is golden
- 6% “he stared at her secondary sexual characteristics when her attention was elsewhere” 😂
- “I just had a bad feeling about the little shit”
- 18% “Fluid and pieces went everywhere”. When we stop to think about the fact that he really means blood and gore from the body he was smashing against the ceiling, this is extremely graphic.
