I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this read. Powerless provided excitement, action, and romance at a fast pace. The characters and details for each scene were done well and had me fully invested.

This is an enemies to lovers with plenty of banter between the FMC and MMC. I felt anticipation to see the growth of Paedyn and Kai throughout the story. I found myself unable to put the book down as the story progressed. While the world building is not as intricate or intense as others in the genre, it makes up for with it's strong FMC and character developmemt.

I would recommend this as a good starter fantasy/romantasy for readers trying to get into the genre.

Definitely will be reading the next book in the series as it does leave on a cliff hanger that has me thinking about what will play out next.
